The VAC spring hike will take place around the Pilatus at the Vierwaldstättersee (close to Luzern). We will meet at Zürich HB (train main station) in front of platform 7 on Saturday, June 9th at 8:20 AM to take the train (IR 70, 8:35) to Lucerne and then the Pilatusbahn to Krienseregg. From there will make our way up to Fräkmüntegg. After a break and enjoying the scenic view on the Vierwaldstättersee and the Pilatus we will continue to the Eigenthal / Eigenthalerhof and will have some scenic views on the Unesco biosphere Entlebuch and the Emmentaler Alpen. We will return to Zurich around 6-7 PM.

In case of bad weather, the hike will be postponed to Sunday, 10th. We will inform all participants by e-mail on Thursday evening, June 7th about the final date or if the hike has to be cancelled due to bad weather conditions.
Please book your train ticket to Lucerne (way and back) individually via SBB (preferably only the day before the hike, in case we have to shift the date because of bad weather conditions).
